A Coop member in Los Angeles, USA, achieved a milestone last February by celebrating 20 years in the logistics industry

BGI Worldwide Logistics Inc, a Coop member in LA, USA, which has been providing integrated logistics services for their customers, recently celebrated 20 years of business. The company which was created back in 1999, has grown from the dreams of founders, Bruce Robertson, and Gabriel Shweiri, to a company with multiple locations and nearly 40 dedicated professionals.

The conference which is all about the latest trends in ballast water legislation will take place on 26th & 27th of June in Houston, Texas, USA

Session Five of ACI’s 23rd Ballast Water Management Conference, taking place on 26th & 27th of June 2019 in Houston, Texas, USA, titled ‘Regulatory Roadmap’, will examine recent changes in ballast water legislation. It is key for ship-owners to be aware of these developments in order to remain compliant at all times.

The session will consist of the following presentations:

‘Update on IMO Ballast Water developments’ – Marcie Merksamer, Biologist / Vice President, EnviroManagement, Inc.

Marcie recently attended IMO’s MEPC 74 (13-17 May 2019) so will be best-placed to share the latest regulatory developments, including BWMS Type Approval updates, developments for ballast water sampling & analysis, and BWMS Commissioning Testing.

Westar Internationale Spedition GMBH, a Coop member in Dusseldorf, Germany, celebrated their 25th Anniversary on the 1st of April, 2019. Since the last 25 years, they have been a reliable partner for customized and individual global transport solutions by air, sea or rail freight.

“We started with a small team of 5 teammates. Now after 25 years, 30 people are working for Westar. During this time we started to offer some special services, which are unique in our region. East Cheshire Chamber of Commerce holds a yearly annual business event where the leading local businessmen are awarded in recognition of their work

Neon Freight, a Coop member in Manchester, UK, has garnered the International Trade Award at the East Cheshire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, 2019. “Every year the Chamber holds an Annual Business Awards Event which is a celebratory evening for all local businessmen and women to showcase the best of East Cheshire. Chamber members are encouraged to nominate themselves or a company that they feel deserves recognition for their work,” says Ian Mallon, the Managing Director of Neon Freight.

There are numerous categories each year for any small or large business to win.
