A self-propelled passenger staircase had to undergo maintenance service with a German manufacturer within the shortest possible span of time since it had technical issues during the Saudi Arabian King’s state visit to Russia. The airfreight team of Kopf + Lübben Cargo Services was in charge of this sensitive project. The colossal escalator arrived on Sunday night from Moscow on an IL-76 freighter at Hamburg airport and required special handling off the main airfield
Kopf + Lübben Cargo Services were also ordered to do the handling after maintenance had been done and successfully re-loaded the staircase after a couple of weeks. The same type of aircraft was booked to pick up the staircase in Hamburg and flew it out to Saudi Arabia.
The highly experienced airfreight team of Kopf + Lübben Cargo Services successfully discharged the staircase, arranged for customs procedures and transported the cargo to the plant. In the words of Tobias Teichmann, Manager Airfreight of Kopf & Lübben, “We made use of a special ramp to unload the elevator very carefully with the right precision down to the final millimetre. The staircase was delivered to the plant within a couple of days and maintenance work started shortly after the landing in Hamburg, thanks to the excellent job of our team members.”

The Coop members are all set to come together for the Coop’s 4th Annual Meeting to be held at the Intercontinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur
COOP members from more than 50 countries and 100 cities will be staying at the fabulous city of Kuala Lumpur from the 10th to 12th of March for attending The Coop’s 4th Annual Meeting. After the onsite registration, there is going to be a Welcome Cocktail Reception for the delegates and their spouses. The 2nd day of the meeting would start with the official opening ceremony during which The Coop Director, Antonio Torres will be presenting the welcome speech.
Delegates have already scheduled around 4000 One-to-One meetings with fellow agents from almost every corner of the globe. During the three days of the meeting, the delegates will get a chance to promote their companies, strengthen their ties with partners and do the groundwork for securing plenty of new business deals. On the evening of the 2nd day of the meeting, the agents will be taken to one of the best eateries of the city where they will be treated to a fabulous dinner. After a packed one-to-one meeting schedule on the 3rd day, the conference will come to a closure.
After attending The Coop’s 3rd Annual Meeting held last year at Bangkok, Ms. Dalia Cordova of Integral Chile, Santiago, had commented that, “It is very important to participate in the meetings, because it is very different to do business with a person you can talk face to face to. On the 13th of November Ningbo Dingqiao International Forwarding Co Ltd successfully delivered a 40 RF container from the Ningbo Port, China, to Yangon, Myanmar. In order to handle a shipment of this enormous size they made use of a special truck for loading and downloading.
According to Susan, Ningbo Dingqiao Overseas Manager “Delivering this colossal shipment has majorly boosted the confidence of our team. We look forward to handling more such complex projects in the future.”
The shipment mainly consisted of steam boilers, which were fastened with special wire ropes in order to transport them to Yangon. Shipping this gargantuan cargo was a challenging task which was managed perfectly by Ningbo’s team.
