Siam Cargo becomes AEO Certified

Here at the Cooperative Logistics Network, we are pleased to announce that from June 2016 Siam Kargo Logistics (A member of the COOP in Bangkok, Thailand) is now AEO approved. Siam Kargo has gained its Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) certificate this year, reflecting the quality in terms of both transparency and security in the company’s international working practices.

By achieving this level of recognition, Siam Kargo has now acquired access to greater levels of privileges and handling abilities within Thailand. Such as, direct handling of transit shipments by air and sea, as well as cross border transport across the ASEAN and Greater Mekong sub-region. For their customers this translates into speedier shipments which are less likely to be held up with inspections and other red tape. With this level of recognition and the accompanying degree of higher privileges, the future looks deservedly bright for the company.

We invite all members with shipment to or from Bangkok, to get in touch with the team at Siam Kargo Logistics.

Soba Logistics makes two complex oversized shipments

Soba Logistics, a member of The COOP in Taipei, Taiwan started the year by successfully delivering not just one but two complex and oversized loads

The first was the transportation of an A320 Airbus Simulator from KHH port to premises in Taoyuan, 375 KM away. Due to the size and the weight of the cargo, is was necessary to use both Super High and Super Wide low trailer truck loads. With the additional height, the route has to be calculated with extra care to avoid bridges and tunnels. The Simulator was successfully delivered at the end of January 2016.

The second tricky delivery were a collection of fragile Acrylic panels. The load was transported from KHH to Hualien at the end of April 2016. Again the cargo called for the use of Super High and Super Wide trailer truck loads. Due to the nature of the cargo, extra care had to be taken in terms of health and safety.

If you are looking to transport complicated loads in Taiwan, why not contact Soba Logistics.
