Westar Internationale launches a new consolidation service in cooperation with a Coop partner

After attending The Coop’s 6th Annual Meeting at Phuket, they teamed up with FEI Cargo to finalize all the details of this new consolidation service from India to Germany

Westar Internationale Spedition GMBH, a Coop member in Duesseldorf, Germany, and Pittsburgh, USA, recently started a consolidation service from India to Remscheid, Germany in cooperation with FEI Cargo, a Coop member in Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore, India. “The preparation took a long time and was delayed by Coronavirus. However, this year Coop’s face-to-face meeting in Phuket has contributed to clarify the last performance details. All in all the initial phase is done and the service has been running successfully for several months,” says Juergen Ott, Managing Director of Westar Internationale.

This is already the second consolidation service which they set up with a Coop member. In 2019, few months after joining The Cooperative, and after attending the annual meeting in Abu Dhabi, they started consolidation service from Shenzhen to Remscheid in cooperation with a network member.

Westar excels in LCL Ocean Consolidation Services from China & Taiwan to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland with a distinct focus on handling the shipments at its destination ports. “One of the key differentiators of our services lies in our destination handling approach. Unlike many shipments destined for Germany, which are typically booked with co-loaders with port destinations, our customized LCL ocean consolidation services offer a more efficient and flexible solution,” adds Mr. Ott.

Traditional procedures can be time-consuming and lack flexibility, whereas their specialized LCL ocean consolidation services prioritize seamless transfer of containers from the port to their warehouses. When containers arrive in the port, they execute a direct transfer under bond to their two strategically located warehouses in Remscheid, Western Germany, in close proximity to Duesseldorf and Cologne. The unloading is efficiently handled by their dedicated in-house staff.

Congratulations to Westar Internationale on their successful collaboration and all the best for their upcoming endeavours!

Lupo del Bono. “The Ambassador sought assistance in delivering the much-needed humanitarian aid to Panama, and Mr. Laffitte stepped forward to provide the required support,” says Carmen Marrero, the Pricing Supervisor of Canal Movers and Logistics.

Nautiqus does their bit for the environment by adopting two beehives, home to 50,000 bees

The Nautiqus bees will pollinate flowers and plants at their apiary farm while each bee colony will be able to produce 20 to 30 kg of honey per year

Nautiqus SP. Z.O.O., a Coop member in Gdynia, Poland, has adopted two beehives which are home to nearly 50,000 bees. Nautiqus has a long-standing policy of socially responsible business and places a strong emphasis on environmental activities. The hives are located on the territory of the Sadecki Bartnik Apiary where the insects will be cared for by experienced beekeepers.

“Concern for the environment and the promotion of green attitudes is one of the elements embedded in our corporate responsibility activities. We replaced our car fleet with hybrid cars a few years ago, and we have been developing IT solutions for years to eliminate paper documentation. Now we have decided to focus additionally on helping the bees,” comments Dominik Popiel, CEO of Nautiqus.

Poland has nearly 10% of all the hives in the European Union. The number of beekeepers and the number of bee colonies is steadily increasing. Moreover, the increase in the number of bees is also largely due to the approach of companies which are paying more and more attention to the role of bees in the ecosystem in their CSR activities.

Mr Popiel further adds, “It is estimated that up to 70 per cent of the world’s agriculture depends on bees. When there are no bees, there will be no pollination – there will be a shortage of plants, then animals…. Unfortunately, their situation is getting worse all over the world due to climate change, pesticides and habitat loss. Environmentalists and conservation organizations are increasingly calling for action to save the bees.”

The Nautiqus bees will engage in the vital task of pollinating flowers and plants. Remarkably, each colony of bees has the capacity to generate an impressive yield of 20 to 30 kg of honey annually. The cooperation of Nautiqus with Sadecki Bartnik Apiary lasted almost 10 years. So far, this has included honey exports to the UK. They are expecting that the present partnership with the beehives will last just as long.

Congratulations to Nautiqus for their commitment to a greener future!
