Cairo Freight Systems, a Coop member in Cairo, Egypt, has successfully secured a significant new contract to export approximately 120 TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) of foodstuffs monthly from Alexandria sea port to various destinations in Europe and the USA.

“We are proud to have gained this business after a long period of persistence and hard work,” said Mayada Nayef, Manager at Cairo Freight Systems. Additionally, the new contract is set to have a substantial impact on the company, promising increased turnover, profitability, and enhanced reputation. “This is a big business project for us, and we expect it to significantly boost our company’s profile and financial health,” Nayef added.

The commodities to be exported under this contract include frozen artichokes, vine leaves, and potatoes. These foodstuffs will be shipped to prominent destinations such as Genoa, Le Havre, Los Angeles, and New York, among other major ports in Europe and the USA. The company has ensured that measures are in place to maintain the quality and safety of these food products during transit. “The exporter will make insurance arrangements to cover the quality and safety of the shipments,” noted Nayef.

One of the primary challenges anticipated in this venture is the availability of reefer equipment, which is essential for transporting perishable goods. However, Cairo Freight Systems is committed to addressing this issue to meet their clients’ needs efficiently. This contract represents a significant step forward for Cairo Freight Systems, reinforcing their position in the logistics industry and showcasing their capability to handle large-scale export operations.

Congratulations to Cairo Freight for securing this important project and best of luck with their future endeavours!
