The Coop’s 2nd Virtual Meeting will be held in less than two months

The cloud conference to be held on 15th and 16th November will be an easy and effective way for members to expand their operations

After the success of The Coop’s 1st Virtual Meeting, The Cooperative Logistics Network is once again gearing up to organize its 2nd Online Conference. The Coop’s 2nd Virtual Meeting will take place on the 15th and 16th of November, 2021. This virtual meeting will bring the members together on one platform at one time for enhanced business networking.

The one-to-one video-conferences will form the core of the event. Members will get to participate in up to 32 video conferences of 20 minutes duration with previously selected network partners. The one-to-one business talks will cultivate long-term partnerships. Moreover, it will allow the participants to showcase their business and do the groundwork for many new collaborative projects. The Coop team has taken special care to accommodate delegates from all the different time zones.

The meeting will take place on a special platform designed by The Coop for a seamless online conferencing experience. Moreover, the meeting will also come with a special segment consisting of FreightViewer workshops. Andrea Martin, from The Coop’s FreightViewer department will explain the new updates of this quote generation platform via live demonstrations.

FEI Group ships 1.4 million Euro beer filling line

FEI Group is pleased to announce that they have successfully completed the loading of one single lot of project shipments in 12 x 40HC and 6 x 40FR (Beer Filling Line worth €1.4 Million ) for one of their most important customers, KHS Machinery from Mundra to Benin, Cotonou

This was an Ex-Works Shipment where the team were responsible for handling the cargo pick up and road transport, customs clearance and ocean freight.

Prior planning was key to the successful execution of this shipment; including numerous visits to the factory to ascertain the exact weight and dimensions of the cargo, arranging the equipment for stuffing the boxes and lashing the goods followed by a final survey. The cargo was stuffed in such a way as to ensure maximum utilization of each and every container.

One of the main challenges faced during the customs clearance was that the containers and trailers could not enter the Inland Container Depot (ICD) where the customs examination was to take place due to the cargo’s oversize dimensions.

Instead, the customs officials gave FEI Group special permission to have the cargo examined outside of the ICD, so that the cargo could be cleared and loaded on time.

“This is an excellent example of team work where all our service providers as well as the customs officials supported us to make this shipment a success. We are ready for many more such successes in the weeks to come,” said Sheen, FEI Cargo Ltd, Managing Director.

After a 2 and a half month recruitment campaign, The Cooperative Logistics Network’s ‘Founding Members’ will begin operations today

“Today is the beginning of The Cooperative. The day when all our members will start contacting each other and begin building the foundations of those important business relationships, which will be cemented when agents meet at our annual meeting in May next year,” said Managing Director, Antonio Torres.

The founding members are located in 60+ cities across 50+ countries, together boasting a total of 5000+ employees and a sales turnover for 2013 of over 550,000,000EUR.
“Since September, we have been inundated with applications because, I believe, independents understand they are in a ‘cooperate or die’ situation.
